It's so nice to wake up the morning after a US election and not hear the hoofbeats of the Apocalypse.
I mean, we're still a long way from anything good. But at least it didn't get soul-shreddingly worse, as it has at every turn for, what? The last six years? That's something.
ETA: And there's Nancy Pelosi, the new speaker of the House. I think I just felt a cautious glow.
