Okay, that's GONE. I have this thing about making myself write (time is very dear and I usually just want to read in my scarce offhours) but cripes. Making oneself write is one thing; actually posting it, even on LJ, is quite another. Bleaugh.

If anyone cares, there will be a lot before and after the actual fight, and some of it will actually MAKE SENSE. A second draft will be up shortly.

In other news, my insane Maine Coon Cat has repaid my adoptive kindness by graduating to destroying furniture. I do not exaggerate, nor do I employ hyperbole. The fucking creature has destroyed a dining room chair. It's in pieces. Three of the legs are off and it's a pile of kindling on the floor. The beast in question has been wont to ricochet off the wall and then off the chair in prep for sailing through the french doors, and the chair finally collapsed and died.

Maine Coons are an amusing breed, very doglike and fearless and lovable, but think before you gather one to your bosom. Think hard. And put all your good stuff into storage. And stock up on wood glue.
