I've had the first two issues of Astonishing X-Men open on my desk since Sunday, and it's really helping me get through this blasted coloring job. I actually enjoyed myself today. She's an inspiration, this Laura Martin, and I'm in her debt. Did almost three pages today, and Frank's insano July 21st target seems almost possible.

Of course the arm is killing me, but that can't be helped. I'll worry about it after deadline, or when it falls off my torso, whichever comes first. The bad part is, I wimped out and put on Icy Hot linament and it's going to stink up my bed, and follow me to the office tomorrow no matter what I do. Because showers are powerless agaist the devil's bargain that is Icy Hot. It's fun watching the domestic beasts freak out at the smell, though. Hur hur hur.

I'm also tryiinnnng to get version 3 (it's taken me three tries -- God, the shame of it) of my Writercon-auction illustration done. Dear patron person, I will have it inked over the July 4th weekend. I will put in extra zip because of my guilt. And I will color it like Laura Martin, my new comic-coloring idol.

Gah, I'm strangling on these Icy Hot fumes. But the pages... not so bad, really.
