Holy hell, it's done. I recolored that deleted book in a week. I think I may sob, or drink or both. Why not both? Issa miracle!
GAWDALMIGHTY it's done, and the cursed thing is out of my house! I skip and I prance, and fat hot tears of joy roll down my cheeks. Plus, my Yogic-non drinking stance is in abeyance for the evening.
I'd like to thank LJ and the flist hivemind, okay, for the good vibes. I'd also like to thank Bill Murray, who made the movie Groundhog Day, the repeated replayings of which... helped me remember that Buddhist comedy is possible and dignity is to be found in the wheel of karma and... uh... that revolting reverses can somehow not only be endured but mastered, and that... I lose the thread of any sentence over fifteeen words. *happy sob*
As re other events beyond the rabbit hole of my book-deleting-redoing immersion, I cheer Ms Murchisson2's acceptance by Georgetown. EEk!(I'm still trying to buy a virtual champange bottle for her info page, but I'm tipsy and exhausted. Slow, very. How to? Links? Instructions any idiot could follow?)
Plus, in case anybody missed it, I link you Astridv, the best from-life sketch artist I've had the pleasure of knowing in my soso career.

But starting over, opening that first page... *shudder.* That was the steepest work slope I've ever had to face.
I'm blotting it out. *waxes amnesiacal*

Man, that was looong day.

I'm buying you lunch to celebrate. Or dinner. Whatever my evil employers set me free to do.

You buy the lunch, I buy the champers.

But seriously, you have a technique I'd give just about anything for. I just don't have your classical facility. It makes me pine.
*pines*

Heh.
I guess we all tend to focus on those skills we're not completely happy with. Which is a good thing. Not good to be too complacent. One needs the drive.
Which is why I'll leave the internets now and get over to my desk and get cracking. *nod*

I dunno, because I'm on day two of the only two sequential days I've taken off in the last three months, and I'm just a puddle of bliss. And it only took that long to forget the work ethic. THIS IS WHY HAPPINESS IS DANGEROUS
Did I mention we had a real actual tornado? It was a puny tornado of the best sort: it hurt nobody and simply acted thrilling. Designer Toy Tornado. Rush

Dude, one week... you're a scary woman. Did you sleep at all?
Thanks for linking to my stuff. :)
Open Source Radio made a show about Groundhog Day. Here's a link, it's quite interesting. It had never occured to me before that that movie has a buddist message.
Even more interesting, their show on fanfic

That Groundhog Day page is terrific, thank you! I read all the links. Groundhog Day is the only thing that got me through this, I aver.
I love you, Groundhog Day! I fucking LOVE YOU!I'll read the fanfic link next. :)
Allow me to reiterate my droolz over your technique. You have the mad John Singer Sargent skills. It awes me.

You can listen to the show, too! There have links to the mp3 files on the top of each page. I love this particular show, I've listened to it a couple of times already. naominovik and cesperanza are doing a great job not just explaining the fic phenomenon, but also giving a feeling the motivation and the passion behind it. The mod is really open-minded, which is delightful. Also, Lee Goldberg. Heh. And a member of the anti-fic cabal calls in (you remember, "teh ebil fanficcers").
I have watched Groundhog Days nine times. It never gets boring. It's in my top ten movies of all time.

Your posts make me so happy, you know that? I'm thinking of you. AND SPRING! YES!!!!
Next year in Frankfurt, baby. Next year in Frankfurt.

congratulations!
And really, really not an advertisement for Macs, I have to say. Ow. Glad you came through!
Re: congratulations!
But dude, if only I'd known about that alias stuff. Actually (having involuntarily dissected the horrific chain of events ad nauseam), there were three ghastly blunders. One, two, three. If I had failed to commit any one of them, I wouldn't have destroyed the book.
Ah, well, it's over. I hope it built my character, or something. :}
