I'm stupidly happy since Joss said that Spike shanshued after the credit cut for NFA.

That's how much of a geek I am.

Oh, and I made Kevin Kline the knight dancing with Juliet at the Capulet ball. Because I CAN.

It's still rough, blahblahblah. But I put Kevin Kline in it because I bought Dave yesterday -- the ultimate Democractic fantasy flick. And doing so made me happy. I played it all day. God, this election is driving me mad.

yo, where's the transcript of this? cuz everybody's talking about it but i don't know where to find these comments from the man himself.

also? happy, but… the spike that lives in my head would be pissed about being made human again. so… also unhappy.

and i don't want it to be said that spike only got to shanshu cuz angel signed it away. i still hold that angel fudged that signature somehow.

It's weird. I think Spike would adjust to being human way better than Angel. He'd be pissed off, but he'd deal, because that's what Spike does.

But Spike always wanted to be extraordinary, and I think he'd really miss the superpowers. He can't take on the world any longer. It would squish him. :(

I read it on BAPs. It was in the recap of the High Stakes conference call Joss did for the Dems, I think.

I think Spike would be pissed, too, but that's good dramahh. And I've wanted out boy to get a higher-power pat forever. And it was foreshadowed and everything. So I have the glee.

In fact, it's given me a fit of Teh Bunnies. Glee!

Xander loses his other arm with is odd because he wasn't even there.

What other arm? Xander lost an eye so he could lose his other eye, but since he hadn't loss an arm, he couldn't lose his other arm. Plus, as you said, he wasn't even there. Unless he learned that the true love of his heart, Spike, was alive and he showed up just in time to get in on the fight to protect his sweet baboo. ;-P

But I could see a story where Xander comes to the fight in time to save Spike's life. They gaze in shocked wonder at their recognition of the love that dares not speak its name. Meanwhile, poor Angel gets an arm chopped off. They rescue him and his poor chopped off arm, Illyria uses Fred's ability to do everything and sews it back on, and then the boys all live together in blissful, HoYay! bliss.

Ahem. It's not canon just because Joss says it. It's only canon if it *happens* where we can *see* it! As in, on the TV screen. The rest is just authorial doodling and retcon.

It would be a diminution. On top of that, Spike would have major guilt. He didn't really want the damned thing, he only went for it to piss off poor armless Angel. Except it's nice to be off the roster for Hell. But.

There's Angel, all armless. Spike feels like shit. TONS OF HURT AND COMFORT, for anyone who's so inclined and has liberty to fanfic it.
