We aren't going to get a crucifixion pose, but we will get Spike Kneeling Before a Slayer, version 26, or something. His knees buckle when Dana's dope hits his system, and down he goes. Oh, I hope she's right in front of him.
These reflections are enough to make me abandon caution and hope fervently that Dana will recur. Of course that's a mug's game, because it's never gonna happen. By the time the writers could plausibly extract her from the Scooby clutches in England, the series will be over. Gosh, I hope somebody talented picks up this AU in fanfic and runs with it. I've caught the fever: I want Spana.
